Bought a ULMIA jointer at an old tool meet ($50). I later discovered the blade was bowed. The bow is corrected and plane works fine if I tighten the chip breaker real tight. How do I correct the bow? Should I?

I torque down all my chip breakers as a matter of routine to prevent chatter anyway, and adjust all planes with a brass hammer just like I do woodies, and store them already set up.
You can take out the bow with a combination of hammering and lapping, but I probably wouldn't bother.
