Took some time today to give something other then calls a chance. Ended up with this small plate/shallow bowl

Its white oak with a MAO finish, 5 inches across

The new carbide tool from Things Western works awesome!

I like it, but I think a tad thinner, and I needed to follow the curve a bit closer (I will get used to this tool and I believe that will help me a ton) I am not real keen on the area where I had to mount the wood, I have to go deep enough to chuck it up ...maybe a diffenent set of jaws? More learnin'!

Look out, folks!!! Ken is in production mode!!

Nice work, and I particularly like the last one. Looks like on the second oak bowl, you got the bottom finished off very nice!

Ive been up since 4:30 am John....turned a few calls, finished this cherry turkey pot and then decided to tackle something new with the plates. I should be able to salvage the first plate....hopefully haha! But right now its time to head to my treestand!

Thanks!

I went ahead and ordered a flat-jaw for one of my chucks so that i can handle the foot removale without much trouble. I figure I can use it on the Turkey Pots as well.

Nice plates. Guess I'll try a few for me and my family to use for keys and loose change by the door. Well done.
