Nova chuck with Red Loctite

Thank you all for your assistance with my problem.
I got the insert out this weekend!! There was not as much red Loctite as I had worried about. There was just a dab on the bottom thread of the insert. I heated it with my new heat gun. I used a large adjustable wrench with a pipe on it for added leverage.
I even fell on my rump when it let go... no blood:)

DONE! New insert inserted with NO LOCTITE- just a grub screw...

Glad it worked out Michael! That stuff is called "permanent" for a reason. I'm glad the heat gun did the trick, glad ya didn't bruise your bottom either :p

Mike, I'm happy for your success, and with it the knowledge you provided the Creeksters regarding Loc-not-so-tite. Improvising can be fun, and rewarding..... when successful. And a learning experience in any event :)
