This is a goblet I made for my son who got the box elder for me. It ended up 7" tall by 4" at the widest part of the cup. This is the box elder that had the carpenter ants, as evidenced by the damage at the base. It is finished in home brew oil, and beall buffed and ren wax on outside only. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.

Great goblet. Heres a funny thing. When I first glanced at the thumbnails my first thought was, "why didnt he sand out the massive amounts toolmarks?" Then I clicked on the picture and saw that it was massive curl!!!! My box elder has a little curl but this one is loaded with it!!! Wow that wood looks great.

Beautiful wood and a beautiful turning. The curl in that thing is ridiculous!

For my eye, I'd like to see the base a little thinner, but that's really nitpicking. That's an awesome looking piece!
