Just wanted to share some info on where to get carbide inserts for wood turning.

www.dehartusa.com sells

1. square inserts 9mmx9mm
2. square inserts 12mmx12mm
3. diamond shape 28mmx14mm

Diamond shape inserts are about $4-$6 each.

You can also buy square, diamond and round inserts from Chuck(I guess he is the owner) at www.woodtechtooling.com
I've spoke with him over the phone. He seems like a nice guy.
He does not have diamond and round inserts on the web site. You'll have to call him.

Try these guys. They are american made!!! They were the first provide woodturning tools with replaceable carbide inserts. Simply the best micrograin carbide available since the owner of the company also makes carbide inserts for the jet engine industry.
