I am not a huge CL fan. I seldom see anything on there that is not rediculously priced. I hate selling on there because people are crazy and a pain to deal with. I was thinking I wanted a little more suck out of my DC to run my saw and overhead guard. Last week I was crusing through CL and came across an older blue jet 3hp DC for $325 again. It had been posted the week before. I offered him $250 thinking he would say no. He was moving to FL and said that if I picked it up that night it was a deal.
So.... I picked it up. I cleaned up my JET 1100A and sold it for $200. I had orginally purchased it for $150 about 3 years ago. I kept the bags and cannister I added to put on the new one.

I cleaned up the new one. The old JET blue paint cleans up nicely with Rustoleum:D.

I am out a total of $50 this time around and $200 total if you account for the initial DC purchase. Do I really need it. Probably not. I am consistatly drawn to bigger tools. It is a sickness of mine. I figure if I decide I want a cyclone, I can use the 3hp motor and 14" impeller to build one. I guess I am posting because my wife and friend/neighbor do not share in my excitement of the 2x power upgrade for little cash.
