Hello all,
I'm just finishing up my first tool restoration, an old ITC (Taiwanese) drill press. Everything is good, but I'm having trouble finding a source for a new crank handle for the table. The handle on the crank is busted, but it should thread into the cast iron arm on the crank and have a plastic handle that spins.
I'm not sure if its clear what I'm looking for. If I can find the parts I'll take a picture, but essentially I am looking for a handle like the blue one in the 6th picture down on this web page...http://www.areddy.net/wood/workshop.html.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Marc

What I really want is just the blue handle (or similar) from this part.

Marc,
I had a similar problem with my Jet DP. I was unable to find a source for just the knob part of the handle.

Both MSC and McMaster Carr have what I'm looking for. Now to see who ships to Canada!
cheers,

Marc,
I had the same problem with my Ridgid DP. I ended up using a short piece of PVC pipe cut to fit. IIRC, I used 3/4". Works great...inexpensive too!

Maybe Reid Tool Supply has something that will work. Lots of hard to find stuff for gadget addicts (My name is Harry, I am a gadget addict:D).

Enco also has some in plastic and metal, not sure if they ship to Canada.
I got a metal one to add to my Oliver wood lathe hand wheel.
Seem good quality.

I take it you don't have a lathe where you could make a hard wood or plastic one?
Thanks, Tony
