Here are pictures of a laundry hamper I made for our bedroom. It was built to hold a cloth hamper bag that used to be part of an ugly metal X-brace type setup. My wife had been using that for years, but it never matched the rest of her furniture. This looks a lot better.
It's solid cherry, except for the panels which are 1/2" cherry ply. It's a bit difficult to see in these photos but the panels are recessed. Finished with BLO and some shellac. Had some trouble with the shellac, but I eventually got it sorted out. This is the second 'real' piece of furniture I've built.
