cocobolo duck call w/ ABW band

Made this one last night. It is cocobolo with an African blackwood band. The finish is many, many, many coats of CA wet sanded and buffed w/ tripoli and white diamond.

Everyone here urged me to use a band on the last call I posted and I'm thinking that it is good advice. I use brass bands on some of my calls but I'm hoping to develop a "signature" call that is different from most callmakers' calls. Most callmakers use brass bands and I'm thinking that a contrasting wood band gives mine something somewhat different and unique.

It sounds awesome too!
