Spalted Magnolia

I tricked Mark Cothren into sending me a chunk of spalted Magnolia. This is part of it. A tall lidded box, 8.5" x 3", the lid is one piece from the same wood. Not the best form, but some really pretty wood.

Interesting form and beautiful wood. I like it. I dont think I've seen this wood spalted before, or at least not to that extent.
