I've been using oil on my RL 4060 bearing rails. Does anyone see any draw back to using molybdenum disulfide?

What kind of machine do you have? Does your owners guide recommend oil or just cleaning?

Molybdenum disulfide is of 'plate like' micro-structure and is best suited to sliding surface applications.
Gears, Rollers or Ball Bearings or anything with a rolling action damages the 'plate like' structure and degrades it's lubrication properties.
