7/16" 7 layer birch ply... not sure if it's baltic birch though...

Sounds like a good deal at $12 each for a 4 x 8 sheet?

Sounds like a steal - or someone unloading some Chi-ply.

Check the edges. If they (the glued layers) are all wavy, then it's a good bet they came from China.
As with all goods from China, it's "buyer beware" when it comes to buying them.

If they look "ok", then I'd be all over a dozen sheets @ that price & pretty much be set on jig and fixture material for a long time.

$12.00 for a 4x8 sheet is in B/C or MDF territory around where I live.
Even if they didn't look "ok", I'd still be all over a dozen sheets @ that price & put up some new storage in the garage/shop.

I agree with Johnny...... All the baltic birch that I have ever seen is 5X5.

Baltic Birch is available in non metric sheet sizes.

4 X 8 X 3/4 (nom) is about $85 where I live.

I doubt that the plywood the OP mentioned is BB however, as the price is too low, or it's the deal of the century.

Last year I went to the mill to buy a few sheets of BB, paid for them and drove down to the building with the BB ply in it, so I could use their saw to cut in half.

I looked all over the building, couldn't find it, went back to the office where I was teased for being blind.

The owner walked down with me, where the 2 new lifts of BB was supposed to be, was an empty pallet, a previous customer with a 5 ton truck had taken them all, instead of the 12 sheets they had paid for.

maybe that's where this ply came from:D

Matt, that thought struck me as well, however they still use the honesty policy and it must be working well for them.

They did know who took the ply, perhaps charges were laid, I don't know....Rod.

Baltic Birth Ply 8x4' available where I'm at. Just south of $80 per sheet.
