I rebuilt a 1950s Delta/Rockwell RAS last year and would like to try a Dado set on it, but can't find one with a 1" arbor. The accuracy on this thing absolutely spanks my scms, not to mention the huge increase in capacity (not to start any arguments:D ). The Freud 10" models were unavailable for a while but seem to be back with updates but I can't find them anywhere. I checked the Freud website and even the dealers they suggest don't list them. The saw has a 3HP 3ph motor I run off a VFD and normally runs a 12" blade, so I plan to try the 10" set. The Freud set also has a slight negative hook, which from my understanding is important on a RAS.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on one?

Mike, any manufacturer such as FS Tools for example will supply you with a dado set with whatever bore you wish.

I recently purchased a 6" set with a 30mm bore, you can get anything you want.............Rod.
