View Full Version : Makita router thread lock mechanism

So, well, the more I use my router, the more I don't like it.
I have a small Makita 3606, just that one.

The one thing I don't like, is that the locking mechanism, the one that helps to lock depth, works by turning a bolt, while most other routers has a much simpler system in which you only move a lever.
I think the later should be the standard, when I have to adjust often I ended up with my fingers sore.

And second the cord is in an upright position! That means, I can't even put it right exactly upside down, to measure, or change the bit.

But well, the thing the bothers me the most is the first one, the thread lock mechanism. I wonder if there's a way to change it for something else.
