I assume that removers that work to remove oil based polyurethane varnishes will remove water based acrylic varnish. What's the simplest remover to use to remove acrylic varnish? - the least nasty to work with?

I recently used Bix to strip a really big cabinet and it worked ok - slow going though. I found that a regular razor blade made the best scraper. Trick I found was to keep it wet. Can says to put it on, let it sit for a while and scrape it off. For me the definition of "a while" was exactly the time it took to consume a Young's Double Chocolate Stout (about 15 minutes). :)

Oh - and the finish I was removing was 2x coats of dewaxed shellac topcoated with a handful of coats of Target EM6000.
