Oh well, I put some time in on this one but 2 small cracks will keep it here for me to use:rolleyes:

From the pic I can't see 'em. And I bet if you filled with fine sanding dust or coffee grounds and hit it with CA or epoxy nobody would be the wiser with the grain and color of the wood.

Beautiful call.

I understand that...did a nice cherry bowl myself not long back, finished sanding and dropped it...ugh! What you've got here is really nice. This is a turkey call, right? Are there directions somewhere on the net that I could get?

Great looking pot Ken, love the coloration. Anyone that makes calls has had those cracks show up. Good show of ethics to keep it for yourself and not put it up for sale since it does have cracks.

Well it is my fault ofcourse but the board I was given was on just a shy over 3/4 so I should have used a waste block...my 4 jaw chuck is what cracked it when I tweaked it just weeeeeee bit o much and it was when I was sanding it of all things:o

Oh well, made some more to get over the cracked one:D

That is a really nice looking call Ken. Make a great addition for you to use for sure.

Ken, sorry about the cracks, but I really like the contour you are putting on some of these slates! Makes them really stand out - but, apparently a bit more fragile, too.

I don't know anything about calls but it looks pretty "turned out" to me.
