I'm looking to replace my old Grizzly 1 x 30 and this new Rikon looks pretty good.

Does any body here have one yet? Seen it in person? Tried one out?

I'd like to think I'm not buying a "pig in a poke".

Have only seen it on-line- . If you get no replies of current owners, then I would suggest only buying it from a local store/on-line dealer that will agree to take it back or refund you your money since it's an "unknown" tool at this time. Problem is, not many chains carry Rikon tools. Woodcraft comes to mind for a national chain that usually carries some of the Rikon line. I prefer a 1 x 42" belt sander since you get more heat carried away with the longer belt. But, if you already have lots of 1 x30" belts stocked up, that's another reason to replace your current machine with the same size
