CL deal

Finally snagged a CL deal that I can gloat about.
I picked up this Proto roll-about today for $100. I have been looking for something to store some of my machine shop tools in and this should fit the bill nicely.
Looking around the web I found that these go for $800 to $900 so I think I did pretty good.

Nice one Bruce. I'm just fitting out a set of cabinets I paid rather more for earlier this year to hold my 'good' tools. (Veritas planes, Japanese chisels, metrology stuff, blades, router cutters etc)

It's just a thought, but I've just picked up some 1in closed cell polyethylene packaging foam with the intention of making tool nests. The plan is to make pieces to fit the drawers, mark around the items with a pen and rout out the nests more or less freehand with a laminate trimmer - using a straight edge where needed.

It's very cheap from a packaging supplies house, is semi rigid and impervious to dirt. Plus it doesn't crumble.
