Why is the outfeed table longer then the infeed table? All of the other jointers I see it is the exact opposite when one table is longer then the other.

Hmmm, you sure it's not just the angle the photo was taken at? Since it's an offshore copy I'd guess it's infeed is longer as usual.

Looking at SC's jointers, it appears several have infeeds that are roughly the same length as the outfeed, so maybe it only looks this way because of the camera perspective?

Seems like the only explanation. I doubt the tables could be accidentally flipped!

I guess maybe your right about the angle of the picture.

My quess would be that when the guy assembled it, he put it together wrong.

Most Jointers come assembled. I don't think he assembled it wrong.

Swap the tables and the rabbeting ledge is on the wrong side, very obvious (if the tables would actually fit if switched)

I vote for photographic compression. Just an odd perspective angle.

It appears this image was taken with a wide angle lens. When close up like this they are notorious for perspective distortion and I feel fairly comfortable in saying that this is the case with this picture. :)

I agree it looks like a perspective issue.

If I had a choice on a jointer, I would select a longer outfeed table since it's the reference surface.

+ 1 on the perspective angle.

Also remember that the safety guard covers a significant portion of the infeed table from this angle.
