Oak threshold on concrete floor

I need to separate 2 rooms in my basement - one will have carpet, the other one rubber floor mats (for an exercise room). We are thinking of an oak threshold across the opening (no door - just a 7' wide cased opening between the rooms). I am thinking of using liquid nails so I don't have to deal with tapcons or anything.

Any suggestions or alternatives to the liquid nails? How about the door trim - should that go up after (i.e. on toip of) the threshold, or before the threshold (and then cut the threshold to fit)?

A door-guy will know better than I but I have things stuck to the floor in my shop with construction adhesive and they haven't budged in years of abuse. Trim after the threshold IMHO.

if the concrete has any moisture at all, being a basement, black tar would be the way to go. 2 in 1 adhesive + moisture barrier that way.

the threshold should go first, then the trim/frame on top of it. that way when any adhesive fails, it'll still have gravity holding it in place.
