Alkyd paint question

Hi all, I have a little semi gloss and a little gloss alkyd paint left over from an earlier job. Can I mix the two together so I have enough for some trim I need to finish so I don't have to go buy more? thanks, Sean

Generally the less gloss the more flatteners added to the paint. So, if you mix the two it will be a different sheen than either.

This assumes they are the same brand and make of paint. I wouldn't try to mix dis-similar brands of paint at all.

Mixing the two worked out just fine.
