Well here are a couple that I made out of some scrap. The one plain wood is cherry. It was a piece I thought might fly apart but didn't. The other is Elm and the LOML wanted to paint it as she wants to give it to the grandson. The cherry is finished with rattle can lacquer and the hat dyed with india ink. Tried to get these to look like a typical snowman with the larger bottom. I am pleased how they turned out.

Nice Bernie,

I am going to have to try my hand at a few of these.............our club meeting last week had 3 demos at one time ..........snowmen, Christmas trees, and birdhouse ornaments.

I like the ribbons and the natural color of some of yours.........nice!

Nice looking snowmen. Always nice to find some use for scrap pieces laying around.

Good looking snowmen Bernie. My sister emailed a picture of some that she had seen in a craftshow that someone had turned. Told me that the guy had said he sold them as fast as he could get them on the shelf.

Well Bernie,

I turned my first snowmen yesterday/today and LOML painted it (pics tomorrow, I promise). I liked making them.

I made a couple of small ones and one large one (8" or so). Pretty fun to make.
