My Craigslist planer find...

Scored this little puppy for $50 bucks. Powermatic Model 412 2HP Benchtop planer. Had to take it apart to fix the motor, tested, working like a champ. Just need to order some new small replacement parts and the powermatic name plate for it.

Its the pieces on the bottom that have teeth that lift the cutterhead. There are a couple of teeth that are a little worn so when you raise the cutterhead it jumps a tooth.

I think Will was talking about the name plate, much like Japanese import cars often gain 10-100hp simply by adding performance parts manufacturers stickers.

Oh...lol! I didnt even notice the bold. I just want to do a little mini restoration, that's all. I'd like to repaint it, try to get it like new again.
