saw your post about picking up the mm16 for a friend at the edison ww show this weekend and i want to ask how the show was.i opted not to go because of traffic and predicted bad weather.did i miss anything?oh and a belated gloat:picked up my mm16 in april 2002 at the long island show.what a machine.thanks fred

Fred, the show was "OK" and about the same as they all are these days--small. (and the computer show in the same hall was even smaller!) Some good deals if you knew what you were looking for/at; and some of the usual assortment of junk. Besides seeing my friends from Mini Max, I really enjoyed hanging out at the Lie-Nielson booth for awhile and learned a bit in the process.

My MM16 came home last January. In a sense, Roberts is nicer in that it has an addional 2" of resaw height and an easier to use table tilt adjustment. It also has the new guide system that does away with the jamb nuts.
