A house I've been working on has a humidor that is about 6'x4'x10' ceiling. I made a door that was Spanish cedar on the inside & Mahogany on the out with a vapor barrier between. Being 75percent humidity on the inside & 36 on the out the door has cupped quite a bit. It is a solid wood door that is 2'8x 6'8 Any ideas of how I should of made it so the cupping wouldn't happen.

Can you separate the Spanish Cedar from the Mahogany so that they mount to each other with sliding dovetails? The wood in the high humidity is trying to expand and when it does it is cupping your door. Let the inner panel float relative to the outer panel and frame.

Got pictures? How is the current door constructed?

No pics right now. It's a one over one frame & panel door. The top panel is flat with a small window & the bottom is a raised panel. One the interior there is Spanish cedar tongue & grove screwed at the top & bottom with a space on the outside edges for expansion. The cedar is not glued to the mahogany
