I found a large box on my back steps under the carport roof. My mail was on top the box.

Inside the box was some wood and a nice note from Creeker Tom Hamilton.

While Tom currently resides in Georgia, IIRC...he was once a near neighbor to my youngest son Mike in Pearland, Tx and actually walked a short distance to attend a cookout at Mike's house some 3 years ago I believe.

Recently Tom had seen me post about turning a piece of bradford pear I received there and very generously sent me a box. It contained maple, bradford pear, walnut, and elm.

Thanks Tom! I will try to do it justice in the near future.

Nice box of timber Ken. Sharpen your tools and get busy. I'll be looking forward to seeing your finished pieces.

Where do I leave my address for these wood fairies that seem to be magically dropping off boxes of turning wood? :D

Really neat when a box of wood shows up unexpectedly. Have fun and let us see what it looks like "round".
