A sign we are getting older when they use Priest to advertise a Mini van.

Dave, thanks for that! Man that brought back some memories. LOVE JP! One of the best unsung rock bands. Still going today, BTW. Rob Halford has one of the best rock voices hands down. His range is amazing. So many people can't get past the name of the band or the heavy metal sound to realize the talent in Rob and the rest of the band.

I'll be going to bed with a memory lane smile...thanks!

Rob does have an amazing voice. But I think Robin Zander has an even better voice. Even after all these years.

Some say Rob Halford is not what he use to be. But take a look at this video from last summer in Cincinnati. It was recorded on a cell phone and it's still amazing. If you don't want to watch the whole video start at about the 6:20 mark and watch till the very end when he screams out VICTIM, VICTIM OF, VICTIM OF CHANGESSSSSSSSSSSSSS. AMAZING!

I remember the JP T-Shirts that read, "Heavy Metal Masters".

LOL, Dave. Rob seems a little worse for wear. Huffin' and puffin' from walking around the stage. Must say, it has been 20 years or so since I've seen 'em in concert. And Rob has to be, what, mid to upper 50's? The rocknroll life can take it's toll on a guy...and apparently, it did! He's still one of my favorites. His music is legend in my books. Rest of the band looked pretty good. And the solo was amazing. Thanks for posting the link.

Lee, in your love of JP, or in your surprise/head tilt and ears perked at Rob's lack of stamina. :D

A sign I'm not getting older. . . watched the Breaking the Law video to start my work day. (I refuse to give in!)

I saw them on the Killing Machine tour. Opening band was Def Lepard. Pretty awesome show. And I agree I do feel old when Judas Priest is used for a Mini Van commercial.

However like Belinda I refuse to give in I still am an avid concert goer. My 6 year old loves the Scorpions so my wife and I took him to that show. I even saw the Buzzcocks this summer. What a great show. Being that you will never be able to see the Sex Pistols again the Buzzcocks brought back all those Punk memories. Well worth the admission.

Belinda, I never would have guessed... Sorry, but I didn't have you pegged as a Priest fan. Now pics of you in your late teens going to a Priest concert...THAT I'd like to see. ;) Oh, the hair, the leather, scarfs...

They were the first concert I ever went to. I think Krokus opened up for them. I think it was Krokus, Dokken, and then Judas Priest. How's that for your first concert?

Here's a clip from that same tour, probably within a couple of dates of the show I saw....

I have to say, I miss the old Rob :(

No pics exist . . . I wasn't allowed to go to concerts in my teens. The concerts, the hair, the leather had to wait. I'm making up for it now!:D

That makes me want to buy a minivan. Actually, you could just fit 4x8 sheets in the older Honda and close the hatch (I don't if the newer one can) so this isn't entirely off-topic.
