View Full Version : Simple task light mounting to the workbench

If you're like me, you want to be able to mount a task light on the bench from time to time but the bench is too thick and you don't want to drill a dozen holes in your bench. Maybe it's obvious how to do this, but it wasn't obvious to me until I did it. I'm cleaning the shop, noticed my little "mount" and thought I'd post about it. Here's what I do:

It's just a piece of scrap MDF with a lip over the edge for the light mount.

Make the spacing the same size as your dog holes. Some long 5/16" carraige bolts, wing nuts and fender washers on the bottom, and viola'. Move it anywhere you want on your bench.
