Hello everyone,

Here is the dry fit of the back of my kitchen island. The wider rail is the bottom and it will get a furniture toe kick cut out of it.

As I burn through the pile of cherry in my basement, I had been putting aside anything that was wider than 8". Here are 3 boards that are all over 9-1/2", which is how wide the raised panels will be.

You can see me power feeding then over my jointer.

If you like watching paint dry, you can also watch the video of powerfeeding over the jointer.

Thanks for looking,

David

Newb question. How does the power feed flatten the face of the board? Do you make the power feed parallel to the cutter head? How does it flatten a long board without pushing the spring of the board flat to the tables?

Neat though!

Hello everyone,

I am using a specialized power feeder made specifically for jointers. It does not use pressure to propel the wood, it has little barbs that grab the wood and "pull" it. So, Yes, it does flatten boards.

I managed to turn those three 10" boards into panels.

This is good a dry fit as I could get by myself.

Thank you,

David.
