Is the #200 grr-ripper mainly for wider boards, & the #100 grr-ripper, used for narrower boards.

I'm trying to decide if I can get by with the #100. Help me decide?

Thanks,

I thought the upgrade was/is sufficiently worth to buy it. Whether it is worth it to you I cannot say. For me, that big flat plate is worth it - makes life easier and safer.

Gotta go with Curt on this one. The extra width hanging off the side really helps. In fact, I rarely take it off. Oh ..... and while you are at it, buy two - one for each hand. You will miss not having the second one if you only get one to start with.

I have a pair of the Grr-Rippers and LOVE them!!!! Great to use on the router table, jointer and really adds safety to the tablesaw for narrow cut. Got with the #200....you won't regret it!!! ;) :D

I have the whole setup and the splitter stays on most of the time...but the nice thing about it is it just pops off and pops on.

IMHO...You should go for the whole package...2-200's and splitter. You won't regret it.

2) 200s and the splitter. Real happy. The splitter is waiting for it's true calling when I ramp up to the ZCI for the 66. The Bies is doing great for rough stock.

Go with the 200. The extras are worth it especially for the router table.

As a woodworker with one finger a half inch shorter than it should be as a result doing something stupid while plowing a thin strip, I strongly suggest using every safty device you can lay your hands on. I have two grippers now and wouldn't be without them.
