I can now cut 1.5 mm birch ply pretty consistently even with the exterior glue layer but I noticed that cutting goes much better when the ambient temperature is 70 or higher and the humidity is low like many of our afternoons. I often have the room open to the outside as it is a converted car garage. However, in the morning, when the laser tries to cut with temps in the high 50s and with ocean fog outside, I get inconsistent cuts. Is this my imagination or does the laser cutting really react this way?
