Got my new (imported) Mast-R-Lift today from Jessum. Boy, it sure is purdy! Now if I just had a router to go in it I'd be all set!! That's all right, they just dug and formed the footings for my new garage/workshop today. So, it's going to be a while before I need it. Lots of things to do...rebuild the extension for the "General", order a plate template, etc. And of course the obvious, look for a router. Right now I got more time than money, so no problem!! Greg

I got the one that uses the PC7518 router. What I was wondering is if anyone else has this particular unit? I was figuring on just buying the replacement motor instead of the whole router. This would be the 75182. I can buy this for approx. $266. The way I read the ads for this replacement model is that it has the motor, cord, and 1/2" collet. Am I reading this right? So this should be all I need then, correct? Figured on going this way since it will always be in the lift anyway, and I've got 2 other plunge routers to use off the table. Thanks. Greg

Some years back I bought a Rockler package that included their "brand" of Mast R Lift FX and 7518 motor.

Near as I could tell at the time, the lift was a Rockler blue version of a Jess Em (front center screw and aluminum plate)

The 7518-2 that came with the kit included motor, ˝” collet and wrench.(might have included a 1/4" collet too, just don't remember)

Removed the ole’ 7539 and plate from my table, put in the motor- lift combo, did some tweaking and went to work.

Not long thereafter I went to a Kreg Table top with the T-square fence and the lift dropped right in.

The lift/7518 combo also works with Rockler’s “dust bucket” down draft collector if you don’t have an enclosed dust collecting cabinet below.

The motor only will work fine. I got the complete router because of a good deal I found that was cheaper than buying the motor only. I like the lift - well built and holds well.
