Under stairs storage ideas

Hi everyone,

For the guys that have their workshop in the basement, how have you utlized the space under the stairs? I was thinking of making drawers which I can pull from one side, but going 36" span is too long for slides. I might split in the middle and come from both sides. Cannot come from the long side since I have a pole in the way.

Woudl like to see any pictures with ideas others have come up with

I stored boxes of comic boxes in our under stairs closet :D

I use the space for wood storage, and samll hand tools

I have my planer on a mobile base. The top rotates down and I use it as a base for a box that has a drawer and has a grinder mounted on top. That would make a good hidey-hole to get it out of the way.
