1. What mobile base are you using?

2. Manual calls for at least a 20amp breaker; I have a 30amp on hand, would that be acceptable?

Do you have 10ga wiring to support yr 30A breaker?

No, but I could get it. I assume I would also need a 30A plug and receptacle.

Yes, you'd definately need to use a 30A plug and receptacle. I have to say that's an awful lot of trouble just to reuse a 30A breaker.

I am using 4 of the Great Lakes casters. It is very stable, and although the mechanism to lower/ raise the wheels isn't quick, it's very straightforward. The only time I've actually moved the machine is when I rolled it into the shop, so speed hasn't been a concern.

You're right, I'll just go with the 20A recommendation.

Which ones did you get? I was looking at their site and they have do indeed have a lot of choices.

The ones I got have a part # LV-1710-NYP-S-M12. Woodcraft carries a similar caster (http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2021166/25291/WoodRiver-Machine-Leveling-Caster-Plate-Mounted-4-Pack.aspx), with what appears to be an easier mechanism to raise/ lower, but it's a little more expensive.
