I delivered it today at work and it's on display in our building (boss' idea). She absolutely loves it although it's riddled with mistakes and 'oops. This was very much a learning experience for me and my first real furniture project... other than shop cabinets, etc.

That's a great looking box, especially for a first fine woodworking project. Good job!

Great Job, Jim!

Those little "oopses" will forever give that project character and I'm sure YOU are the only one that will ever notice those anyway.

The more work you do, the better you'll get - although I don't see how you could get better than that chest, it looks absolutely gorgeous!

The first thing you have to do as a new woodworker...don't show anyone your mistakes! Most people don't see them anyway.

Nice job... especially for the first piece.
