Got a Dewalt DW735 planer a long time back at a sale and I finally got it tried out this past week-end. Quite happy with the investment, so much that I got the extension table ordered.

Next is to make a table for it. It has to be one that flips the planer up side down since I got no room. Any one have tried this before and got some plans they can share ?

I've seen a version of that flip table in one of the shop collections from Wood mag (I think). I saw something similar this weekend flipping through a different issue. It was a two piece system with one tall cabinet with cleats that formed four alcoves for "table top" equipment and a small roller stand to hold one of the "table top" machines when in use. Looked like each machine was mounted on a mounting surface that serves as the table top on the stand and the shelf in the cabinet. Takes up a bit more room than the flip stand, but supports four machines instead of two (and nothing is ever upside down). Four items in my case would be planer, Worksharp, grinder, and Rigid OSS

Here is a flip top one. I've used this companies plans before they are very nice and detailed. They worked well for me being new to the hobby. I saw the one of the other poster mentioned also but I can't find the link. It was pretty neat. Like he said it had 4 different tops that you put over the cart. And then a rack for the tops and I think the cart slid in it also. Here is a link for a fliptop.

Not a flip top. but mine has the benefit of providing additional health care perks, in the form of cardiovascular exercise, leg lifts and arm curls ;-)

Darn, I have to build me one of those flip tops...
