Need a 2' x 4' adjustable height, mobile work table.

Height must vary from 18" to 36". Adjustable in 1/32 increments, or better.

Individual leg adjustments for uneven shop floor.

Must support 250+ lbs.

Table top will be ultra flat torsion box. Will build myself.

Looking for ideas on supports.

Any suitable products I can purchase?

Any suggestions on design?

Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Dave

Maybe one of the hydraulic adjustable carts from Harbor Freight? Even with that, 1/32" increments is going to be hard to hit. 1" increments would be easy to build, maybe 1/2". If you absolutely need that fine of increments in raising the table you could build a basic platform that will do 1" increments of any design of your choice. Put T-nuts at the corners and half way down the 4' side. Put in hex bolts that have a minimum of 1 1/2" threads, more threads would be more stable. Then set your torsion box on top of that. To adjust, get close with your gross increment adjustment, then fine tune with the bolts. Devise a way to keep the top from sliding off (easy to do with blocks of wood from underneath if your sub platform is open grid) and you are set to go.
Good luck, and remember to show us what you build and what it will be used for!!! Jim.
