Pretty cool looking, but there's no telling what's inside it. What's it going for right now?

2500 is the starting bid. I was going to place a bid but it starts about 2450 too high.

I wonder what it weighs once they cut off the attached tree!!!

I think it was WC Fields that used to say "there is a sucker born every minute"

I think it was WC Fields that used to say "there is a sucker born every minute"

That was P.T. Barnum (of Barnum & Bailey Circus fame).

I always preferred Canada Bill Jones's Motto: It's morally wrong to allow suckers to keep their money.

I think someone told them it was worth a fortune! They will never sell it for that price. I had a guy call me one time to come look at a couple of walnut trees that came down in a storm. When I got there they were only about 14" in diameter and had about 5' of straight trunk and the rest was just a mess. I told him I would give him $75.00 for all of it and clean up the brush. He told me that he wanted $1200 for both trees!! I told him that if they had gold coins inside I would think about it! He got all mad and told me that his BIL said Black walnut was very expensive. I said it is once it is milled and dry and in perfect boards at the lumber yard, but for what he had my offer was more than generous. So they will end up with a real nice yard ornament if they don't come down in price.

Silly people are every where!
