These are the sources of activated carbon that I've been able to find at $2/lb and less than 110lb quantity purchase.
If you know of any others, please add them.

(If this post is against some rules, please let me know. I'm just trying to offer a single point of reference for hard to find material, and share the 40+ calls that I made over the last few days researching for sources in the U.S.)

I'm not associated with any of these resources, just sharing the information I've gathered and passing it on.


Caution: Wet Activated Carbon Depletes Oxygen from Air.
Whenever workers enter a vessel containing carbon, all precautions must be taken since dangerously low levels of oxygen may be encountered. Atmosphere sampling and work procedures for potentially low oxygen areas should be followed.

I used to buy from them to pack compressor air purification systems for use in the diving industry.
Activated Charcoal (Activated Carbon) would come in 10 and 20 lb cans. They have it listed in the product search
