Just a small bowl and a small hollow form... but some very pretty wood, in my opinion. The bowl is 3-1/2" tall and the hollow form is 4-1/2" tall... both pieces are 7" wide. Comments/critiques welcomed.

Man, those would look good in ash!!:D:D Just kiddin' - I was pretty sure you were gettin' low on ash anyway.

Mark, these are some fine looking pieces. I think you did right by making the HF from the piece you chose - a lot of character. Very nice work on both - smooth finish, what did you use?

...finish, what did you use?

Antique oil on both. Wipe it on good and thick and just as it starts to get tacky wipe it off and rub it in. Neither of these pieces were buffed.

There is great beauty in simplicity. Love the AO as well. It wants to be touched. Very well done!

Beautiful work Mark! Both are really nice pieces but I really like the hollow form! Very nice shape to it!

The Walnut sure seems to have an abundance of colors! Thanks for sharing!

I love walnut Mark and I love what you did with these two pieces. I'm really drawn to the hollow form, nice shape and beautiful figure.

Nothing wrong with small Mark,as my LOML reminds me at times, shes 5' tall. :D
I like them, good form and good choice of timber for the shape

Very nice work, Mark. That hollow form looks like it only weighs a couple of ounces.

Mark,

Both are very nice pieces, I really like the form of the HF, and like the accent rings on the bowl. Gotta love walnut!

Nice form on both of them, Mark! Small is good. Large takes up a lot more space on the shelves. :D Well done! I love Walnut!

Man Mark, both are beautiful Cothren classics! You have such an eye for form. But I also have to say that I'm impressed with your point and shoot photos. Dark woods are so hard to get an accurate photograph of and yours look like they're sitting on the table in front of me.
