Another box of wood!!!

I bought 4 pieces of English/Claro/French walnut from Mike Spanbauer, and WOW!! Some beautiful stuff! And, look at the pile of "packing peanuts" Mike used to fill up the rest of the box!

No envy! I've got a similar box waiting. I'm meeting Mike over in Sacramento on the 28th to pick it up. There's a meeting of the local woodturners group and Mike graciously invited me to attend. So I'll get some wood and meet some local turners all at the same time. My b'day is the 25th so the wood is what I asked for... might get a shirt too!

Congrats on the walnut... I got a couple of boxes of this stuff from Mike, too. It's really pretty. I had a chance to turn just a small piece of it today, and it's got great color and curl.
