So I came in last night after turning a honey locust bowl. Walked into the kitchen and my wife says "Honey, what's hanging out of your back pocket?" I reached in and found a pocket full of nice thick curls... in my back pocket...

I've had 'em in my shorts, Joe, but never in my back pocket!! That's really getting into turning... What do you do? Gouge a bit, then spin, in glee, then gouge, then spin? :)

Joe, you're not supposed to take a nap on the shavings pile :p :D ;)

I've filled up my shirt pockets before...

There ain't nothin' like soaking wet Sweet Gum shavings bulging out your shirt pockets!

I thought that was part of the finishing technique :o

I've had sawdust in my pockets before but never curls in my back pocket. My guess is my pocket was loosely open and my shirt was tucked in so guess a good stream went up over the shoulder and down.

I think it was the lathe trying to find my wallet again.
