I deleted all the X3 files and did a clean install of X5. I imported a JPG file into Corel and needed to edit it. Clicked on Edit Bitmap and Where it usually went over to the paint program it is giving me the following message

"FAILED TO CREATE OBJECT. MAKE SURE THE OBJECT IS IN THE SYSTEM REGISTRY"

I have installed SP1.
Anyone else run into this?
Thanks
Stanley

You say you "deleted" all of the X3 files, but did you do a proper uninstall first? If that still doesn't work, you may have to do a manual clean of the registry... it took me a couple of hours to be an <F3> drone and find all mentions of Corel tools, but it solved a lot of my temporary file problems during the multiple Beta runs (they install a LOT of keys in the registry).

I left X3 on my pc. Both work fine except for defaults on X5. It does not want to hold my settings.
