Storage and assembly bench

My name is Dave and I'm new here. I've been reading lots of posts and offering some opinions where it may be of some help. Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for some time now and I have a small shop in an old building out in the back yard. This post is my first here and also my most recent project, a new work bench with storage cabinet. It's been in the back of my mind for years and I finally sketched it out and built it. I have pics of each stage which would bore most of you but the top glue up was challenging and I can post a few pics of that. Top is hard maple, base is walnut and drawer boxes are tulip poplar.




I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Top is 2 15/16" thick by 30" by 85 1/2". The final thickness was supposed to be 3" but through the surfacing process as I glued it up I went a little too far.

Beautiful! I'm a huge fan of enclosed storage in the woodshop, and the 30" top seems like a good depth.
