Maple vase.

Here is a maple vase I just finished from some of the 3-D wood I have. It is just over 9" high by 7" wide finished with water-lox.

The wood has amazing figure. It looks like agate. You could make just about anything out of wood like that and it would look great. The vase shape you chose really shows off the grain and the finish makes it "pop".
