Also a stealth gloat - I've had this particular eucalyptus burl for about 3 years, it came from a dead Eucalyptus tree in Tempe AZ and is bone dry. It's approx 17" round and up to 9" thick. The bottom side is cut as a wedge so some of that thickness will go away.


What should I do with it? I'm leaning towards a very large natural edge nested set (similar to the set in the 4th photo, an earlier set from this same tree) but I'm open to suggestions (other than sending it to someone else).

Core out a large bowl and then use the remaining center piece for a hollow form!
