Here is the plane I had questions about in another thread. I have also included pics of two other tools I bought at the same time. All for $20. !!:D

7 C is type 11, 1910-1918- iron bent, tote top broken off.
Millers Falls #5, 1912-1920 cap broken, side handle missing.
Stanley 9" sliding T bevel, Pat. 3-16-97 (cocobolo handle, brass hardware)

Other than the above noted defects, all was prety good. plane bottom was near perfect.

The seller was holding a rummage sale. I didn't see any tools so I asked. I read someplace- probably here, that you have to ask because people just don't always put out old too. with the kids cloths etc. found at rummage sales. I have found this to be true over and over.

So the guy takes me out to his garage and he has two cardboard boxes full of old tools. Much junk but several good items. He said he had to research values and to call him in a week.

When I went to look at the tools, he had already sold a saw jointer and a Stanley 42X saw setter. I was a little P.O.ed, but kept my cool and set asside the tools in the pics plus a plane iron for a 60 1/2 and a Millers Falls Chefs cap side handle.

It takes a lot of patience but the deals are out there in the wild:D
