I know it's early in the year for ornaments but a couple guys have already broken the ice and it gave me the bug to start making some. These are l to r...Mesquite, Padauk, Sagebrush & Koa, and Red Ironbark Eucalyptus.

Sorry, I forgot the dimensions, even forgot to measure them. But they're all a little less than 2" diameter and about 6" long. The segmented bodies are cut from 1" square stock and the finials and icicles are made from the same. They are hollowed and have a 5/8" hole to fit the finial and icicle into.

Beautiful ornaments as always. I simply love the way you make your ornaments.

Really pretty ornaments Curt. They'll look handsome on someones Christmas tree or hanging in a window or...heck they'll look good anywhere. That's another project on my "to try" list.

Curt, I still remember the previous ones you did - and these are just as wonderful. You do such an excellent job on these - the segmented bodies, and the fantastic work on the spindle turning - excellent - again!!

Those look great! IF I ever tried segmenting something, this might be a good place to start.:)

Excellent as always Curt!

Very nice variety of colors! Surprised you can find sagebrush big enough to turn!

Those are really beautiful and I find the sagebrush one most impressive. I have tried to do several things with sagebrush and never have had any luck. I'm wondering if Utah sagebrush is different than Washington sagebrush. Do you turn it when in is real dry? When I was a kid, there was a guy that showed a Grandfather clock that was made out of sagebrush wood. I never figured out how he accomplished it.
