Here is two Cherry pieces I recently completed. The one is Cherry, Walnut and Bloodwood. It's about 10 1/2" diameter. The other is Cherry and Walnut. It's about 10" diameter. The finish on both is Clear High gloss Wipe on Poly.

I know that the photography lacks something.

Bill,

I guess I need to learn to do what you do "sometimes I sits and thinks" because if that is where you get your inspiration for these truly lovely segmented turnings, then I need some of that same kind of inspiration! :D;)

Another couple of home runs for you on these two!

I think you have a good grasp for the artistic side of segmenting. I see a lot ot these that are way to busy for my taste. Yours always seem to make a clear, defined statement.

Bill, I am not really into segmentation, but I always enjoy looking at your work. The joinery is always first rate, and the pieces are pleasing to look at. Like Michael, seems most take the segmentation to an extreme and the piece becomes too busy. These work!
