Titebond/Titebond II glue ?

Anything wrong w/useing Titebond II glue for indoor projects? I have been stocking both Titebond & Titebond II & am wondering if I can discontinue the Titebond & use T/B II for all projects. Primarly make all types of furniture bust mostly indoor items.

Titebond II is suitable for indoor use. Other than the water-resistance, Titebond II has a bit less 'open time,' so you'll have to be a bit quicker with your fitting ager applying the glue - that's all.

I like Titebond II. I seem to be able to get a friction bite that I don't get with TB1.

I recently picked up a small bottle of Elmers Pro Bond Wood Glue, just to try it out. It seems to be good, it is thick and has very good "Grab", and it sets quick...........too quick in some instances. I probably would not use it for a involved glue up where open time is essential, and I could see where multiple biscuits may be a problem, but if you need good grab, and a quick set, it is great for that. With Pro Bond, I find after clamping for 10 minutes or so, it has set enough to remove pressure. Good for some applications, not so good for others. Overall, I like it.

I used to keep both Titebond and Titebond II...and now only buy Titebond II. I do keep a bottle of extended open time formula around for those times when it is needed.

Pro Bond is what Elmer's calls their poly glue...do they have a new yellow glue they call that, too?

Yep, the new Pro Bond that I am trying out is Yellow Glue. The part number is P9702. Like I stated earlier, so far so good. Pretty thick, great tack, holds as good as anything else in the yellow glue category. Sets QUICK.........squeeze out easy to deal with also...........just wait a few minutes and scrape off the excess, no smearing. Works for me..............;)
